USA Storm Chasing Expedition - 15 May, 2009

A little shelf cloud popping its head up.

Storm moving at around 25mph.

Black skies.

Inside the core.

Some very heavy rainfall here.

Escaping the core.

Time for a little timelapse.

Heading into the storm (kind of)

This is a shot of Van 3's windscreen. A baseball sized hail stone made this circle in the glass on the 5th May

Ok... this is sick.

Yep.... That's what's in there.  (I think we need a bio hazard team here)

George tricking people watching the webcam.

Cells are firing up.

That's a little better.

Nice shot.

Quite an active storm.

Lots of Lightning about.

As per usual, I miss every bolt.

We have cows.

Turtle.

Tornado trying to form.

Everyone looking on waiting for it to form.

You can do it!

Nope...

It was not meant to be.

Storm starting to break up.

More cows.

Just squall line storms.

Although they do look scary.

No threat here.. (Well... not a major one anyway)
