meet Mark.

![]()
There really is just too much technology in
this van.
![]()
Jean Pierre suffering jet lag..,
![]()
A storm is brewing.
![]()
Cool car.
![]()
A little hail damage on this.. Would love
to see the insurance premiums.
![]()
Charles forecasting.. and thinking..
![]()
Hmmm... I wonder where those storms
are?
![]()
Look!, it's a bird, it's a plane.. NO...
It's an MCD.
![]()
This cell is getting larger.
![]()
The back south end of the Anvil can be seen
here.
![]()
Hope this does something.
![]()
A gap in the clouds.
![]()
A very cool local sheriff.. Funny
guy. (never seen a tornado in his life).. Was hoping to catch one today.
![]()
Other chasers using their vehicle
appropriately.
![]()
Ok.. This is not a good idea if there is
lightning about (which there was).
![]()
Moving up into position. Storm has a strong
rotation and "hook echo on it"
Possible tornado present.
![]()
A lot more rotation.
![]()
Quite an active storm.
![]()
Nice hail curtain, 2.5" hail reported.
![]()
A hook echo is definitely present on this
storm.
![]()
What's left of the sun. Not much more time
to chase.
![]()
The cell is heading for us. Lightning bolts
hitting all over the place.
![]()
Nice structure though.
![]()
Looking at the storm moving in above us.
![]()
Feel safe?
![]()
Stay close to the van doors.. (Not
that this will save your life when that bolt hits.)
![]()
Had to move position, hail core was on its
way.
John's truck windscreen was smashed with a baseball sized hail stone. We only
got hit by Golf ball sized stones.
![]()
A better look at the storm structure.
![]()
The lightning risk was extremely high here.
everyone was either crouching or hiding in their cars.
![]()
It's coming this way.
![]()
Mothership.
![]()
Lightning risk much lower at this location,
storm starting to dissipate.
RADAR IMAGES
![]()
The calm before the storm.
![]()
The cell has fired up.
![]()
Hook echo present.
![]()
TVS present, with a big hook echo.
![]()
Cool eh?
![]()
I can't believe this did not produce a
tornado... We had just escaped the hail core by this point.
![]()
Storm dying... No Tornado, but a good
chase.
